D and I spent a wonderfully cloudy afternoon at Sand Bar State Park over the weekend. The temperature (and cloud cover) mode for perfect lounging on the picnic blanket with my kindle and some cervezas… apparently it was also perfect for fly fishing along the reeds, which is what D did. It was my first time to Sand Bar and I really loved it. There were tons of picnic tables and grills, boats and kayaks for rent and a nice swath of sandy beach. It’s the perfect place to spend a summer day (sunshine or not) and I know the next time we visit Sand Bar we’ll bring friends and plenty of grillables.
